Dr Georgios Plataniotis has worked as a Consultant, Senior Lecturer and Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology in University hospitals in Greece (1992-2007) and the UK (2007- currently). As a Consultant and Senior Lecturer in Aberdeen Medical School and the Royal Infirmary he was specializing in Breast, Gynaecologic Cancers and HDR Brachytherapy. He’s currently working in Sussex, UK, treating Urological cancers doing also clinical research and teaching. He’s also got a PhD on Clinical Radiobiology, with research on modified radiation dose fractionation and combined radio-chemotherapy, as a member of various research groups which has resulted in more than 50 publications and the authorship of two books on Radiation Oncology and Clinical Radiobiology.
