Biography: Dr. Casida’s program of research focuses on self-management and caregiving in populations living with complex conditions including, but not limited to patients with advanced heart failure requiring implantation of a ventricular assist device, total artificial heart, or cardiac surgery. In the context of self-management, Dr. Casida investigates mechanisms and interventions related to patient’s treatment adherence, self-efficacy, and symptom management (e.g., sleep disturbances). Additionally, he investigates the degree to which the patient’s informal (e.g., family member) and formal (e.g., nurses) caregivers contribute to the patient’s health, morbidity, healthcare utilization, and quality of life outcomes. Notably, Dr. Casida is passionate in explicating and documenting the bedside nurses and advanced practice nurses' contributions to organizational performance at the patient care unit, department, hospital, and healthcare system’s levels.

Marco Caricato, Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, Italy
Biography: Prof. Marco Caricato graduated in 1985, and started his professional activity working in the developing field of organ transplantation for his first 10 years. Participated in the first liver, lung, heart and small bowel transplantation in Italy. Since 1995 most of his clinical and scientific activity is devoted to colorectal surgery. He published papers on surgical treatment of benign anorectal diseases and on multidisciplinary treatment of rectal cancer.
In 2014 he is one of the first surgeons introducing transanal total mesorectal excision performing TaTME operation in Italy, and participates in a multicentric trial on such operation. Only recently is involved in basic surgical research, participating in a very promising research on Raman spectroscopy in cancer.

Francesco Nicolini, Parma, Italy
Biography: Prof. Francesco Nicolini graduated in Medicine in 1991. He took his board in Cardiac Surgery at the University of Bologna, Italy, in 1997, and his Ph.D. in Cardiac Surgery entitled “Tissue engineering in biological heart prostheses” at the University of Parma, Italy, in 2008. His current appointment is Associate Professor in Cardiac Surgery at the University of Parma, Italy. He is Member of the European Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery, and the Italian Society of Cardiac Surgery. He is serving as referee of several journals as International Journal of Cardiology, European Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Journal of Heart Valve Disease, Minerva Chirurgical, Minerva Cardioangiologica, Frontiers Pediatrics, Datasets Papers in Medicine. He was main Guest Editor of Biomed Research International and he is Editorial Member of Heart and Stroke. He is first author of 80 scientific papers. His fields of research and clinical activity are adult heart surgery, extracorporeal circulation techniques, and myocardial protection during cardiac surgery.
Biography: Dr.Bekheit received his surgical training in several internationally renowned institutions and by eminent surgeons in the field of minimally invasive, Bariatric, and HBP surgery.
Dr.Bekheit is a Board Member of the Minimal Invasive Bariatric Surgery Program delivered by the Alexandria Endoscopic Association (ALEXEA), where many other courses are delivered. He founded a few education programs for the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Alexandria during his appointment as teaching assistant in the early stages of his career.
Currently, he is practicing in an honorary lecturer at the University of Aberdeen, where he practices laparoscopic and HBP surgery. He sits on the editorial board of several peer-reviewed journals.

Biography: Professor Dong-iIk Kim, male, vascular surgeon, graduated Hanyang Medical School in 1984. In 1992 he finished his residency as chief resident at the department of general surgery in Hanyang University Medical Center. From 1992 to 1994 he worked at the department of vascular surgery in Osaka University Medical Center(Japan) as a clinical & research fellow. In 1995 he finished his Ph.D at Hanyang University Graduate School(Korea). From 1994 he started to work at the Samsung Medical Center and is currently working at this institute and is also a professor of Sungkyunkwan Medical School(Korea). In 2002 he worked as a visiting professor at Oregone Health Science university in USA. He is currently the Editor-in –Chief of Internal Journal of Stem Cell(2008- present), the President of Asian Venous Forum (2012-2015), Congress President of Seoul UIP 2015, President of Korean Society for Diabetic Foot(2013 – 2017), President of Korean Society for Phlebology, the National Delegate of the Korean Society of Phlebology, and he is also a member of the executive board of the Korean Society for Vascular Surgery. He also serve as the editorial board for World Journal of Surgical Procedures, Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, International Journal of Angiology, Annals of Vascular Diseases, International Journal of Tissue Regeneration, Reviews in Vascular Medicine, World Journal of Hypertension, J Korean Medical Science, SM Vascular Medicine, Journal of Vascular Diagnostics and Journal of Lymphology and Oncology. He published about 130 international article and 110 domestic articles. He also published 6 medical books as a Chief Editor.

Working at special hospitals till 2001, began a social security hospital at 2002 in Kocaeli/ Turkey. At September of 2002 began to work at Afyon Kocatepe University School of Medicine Neurosurgery Department as a founder.
