Prof. (Dr.) Rajni Singh is presently working as Additional Director and Head in Amity Institute of Microbial Biotechnology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, India. At present she is working on the formulation of microbial consortium, which can be used for biodegradation of the organic wastes (kitchen waste, feather waste, petroleum hydrocarbons) and treatment of industrial effluents. She is also working on production and purification of the proteases, keratinase, amylases and lipases and their molecular characterization. She received her B.Sc in Microbiology (1992) from Delhi University M.Sc. in Microbiology (1995) and Ph.D. Microbiology (1999) from G. B. Pant University, Pantnagar. During her doctorate, she worked on molecular ecology of Scytalidium thermophilum. She joined Post Doc fellowship in Centre for Biochemical Technology, CSIR, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and University of Delhi South Campus, India. She has worked as Lecturer at Department of Microbiology, University of Delhi South Campus. Prof. (Dr.) Rajni Singh has 18 patents in her credit, executed 6 different projects and authored, co-authored or presented over 52 scientific papers, articles, book and chapters and received different grants from Govt. organization to present paper at different international platforms.
