Wulin Yang, Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, P.R.China
He’s mainly interested in the molecular regulations of metabolic homeostasis and how metabolic imbalance trigers human chronic diseases. Current study focuses on understanding the mechanisms of cellular and endocrinic homeostatic regulations and theirs contributions to bodily function, such as stem cell activity and human metabolic disorders. With a combination of molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, bioinformatics, transgenic/knockout mice model, we aim to uncover the complex molecular programs that regulates physiological and pathological processes which affect human health.

Antoni Stadnicki, Medical University of Silesia, Poland
In 1993 – 1998 I have worked in Thrombosis Research Center, Temple University Medical School, Philadelphia, USA, having faculty position, investigated a role of plasma and intestinal tissue kallikrein – kinin system in experimental IBD, in collaboration with Prof. Dr RB Sartor, NC, and Chapel Hill, US. Currently I am working as Professor, Silesian Medical University doing research, medical practice, and teaching students. I have supervised two large research projects founded by Polish Ministry of Sciences related to pathogenesis and treatment of human IBD. I have also continued IBD coagulation study to evaluate link of coagulation-inflammation in joints and gut diseases, and anti - platelets agents (Clopidogrel) interactions with proton pump inhibitors. My recent projects were also related to the tissue kallikrein – kinin system, and kinin receptors in colorectal polyps, and colorectal cancer as well as a significance of angiogenesis related to kinins and grow factors in ulcerative colitis. In addition, I lead GERD patients study using new high resolution manometry staff. In addition I have experience to recruit patients with ulcerative colitis to clinical studies, and in management and treatment IBD patients. I am a member of Editorial Board of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases journal, Clinical Section, Autacoids& Hormones journal, and other journals. I was chosen several times as an expert of European Commission to evaluate research IBD, and other projects. In general, I have published mainly as a first author more than 75 full papers, and book chapters, mostly in peer review international journals (total IF approx 120). In addition I was invited several times for oral presentation of my work during national and international medical meetings (as shown in my list of publications and abstracts presentations), and as reviewer of articles in peer review journals.
My research and clinical interest was mainly involved in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and other inflammatory disorders, especially a role inflammatory mediators including kallikrein – kinin system and coagulation system and related immunological disorders in pathogenesis, complication and treatment of experimental and human IBD, and other chronic diseases.
