Kazim Husain, PhD, DABTis a basic and clinical research scientist at Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, Tampa, FL USA in the department of Gastrointestinal Oncology. He has successfully completed his administrative responsibilities as Chair of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, Director of Toxicology Course, Member of the Academic Senate (Committee of Academic Affairs), Member Grant review study section group Vascular Biology and Hypertension of American Heart Association, and Member of Infectious Control and Safety Committee. He has completed several research projects funded by NIH, AHA, DOD, NOHR, Abbott Lab and CRC of SIU-SOM, Springfield, IL. His current research focuses on molecular and cellular mechanisms of tocotrienols antitumor activity in human Gastrointestinal Cancers specifically pancreatic, colorectal and gastric cancers. He is a member of American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, American Society of Toxicology and American Association for Cancer Research. He has authored 147 research papers including reviews and book chapters. He is serving as an editorial member of several journals.
